Why Recycle?

The bike is a long lasting means of transport that is miles ahead of any other forms of transport in running costs, energy efficiency and speed over short trips.

Recycling a bike reduces the carbon footprint as there is little to manufacturer to recycle it. Approximately 145 million tonnes of waste are produced each year in the United Kingdom, including approximately 200,000 bikes. Having many negative economical and environmental effects.

Because bike recycling is relatively easy to learn we can provide recycling training to marginalised people such as the homeless, young offenders, socially / economically excluded and those with a challenging behaviour.
