The cycle-re-cycle project is proud to offer a home and services to the Bradford Bike Hub Project.
The Learning to Travel Differently Project, delivering the Bradford Bike Hub, is a partnership of Sustrans, Bradford District Council, the University of Bradford, Bradford College and Cycle-re-Cycle. The project aims to increase travel by bike, foot and public transport to the College and University.
Learning to Travel Differently is part of the national Access to Education project led by Sustrans and eight Local Authority partners, and is funded by the Department for Transport’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund.
The Bradford Bike Hub is a one-stop-shop for all your cycling needs. We aim to increase the amount of students and staff using active travel (walking and cycling) to get around this city by providing bike maintenance space and skills, cycle confidence and cycle proficiency training, hire bikes and recycled bicycles as well as loads of useful information about cycling.
Currently, only 5% of students and staff at the college and University cycle to campus. We want to increase this number by helping people to access bikes, confidence classes and maintenance tools to ensure the barriers to cycling are minimised. (Sorry, we can’t do much about the hills!)
The Bradford Bike Hub is funded by the Learn to Travel Differently.
